Elastix SIP Trunk | Outbound Route by Dial Pattern | Outbound Call Security

Here we will learn Outbound Call Routing.

We can select an specific trunk for specific number prefix or Day/Night time group.

outbound call route

Firstly, you have to set all common prefixes in all trunks. And no ISD prefix for security.

1) Choose a trunk which you seems better (first priority trunk), and set higher reputed number prefix (first priority cellular companies)

Elastix > PBX > PBX Configuration > Outbound Routes

Create an Outbound Route by Trunk name (first priority trunk)

Enter the reputed number prefix in match pattern fields:

+880.
00880.
013.
014.
017.
019.
096.

Save and Apply

2) Choose another trunk which you like as 2nd priority, and set 2nd priority cellular prefixes

Elastix > PBX > PBX Configuration > Outbound Routes

Create another Outbound Route by Trunk name (2nd priority trunk)

Enter the less priority number prefix in match pattern fields:

+880.
00880.
015.
016.
018.

Save and Apply

3) Trunk Selection by Day or Night

Another opportunities is the day or night time group selection.

If you do not want to choose outbound trunk by number prefix, then you may select outbound trunk by day/night time. So, allow all prefixes in all trunks.

Elastix > PBX > PBX Configuration > Outbound Routes > (Choose a Route)

Time Group: (Trunk Day)

In this way, choose another route, and set Time Group: (Trunk Night)

So, the trunks will work separately by day and night.
